Sygnum: Empowering people to invest in the digital asset economy with a seamless customer experience

By integrating an onboarding process that is now ten times faster, Zühlke has helped the digital asset bank, Sygnum enhance its client experience.

The start of digital asset banking

Sygnum Bank, the world's first digital asset bank, wants to bring digital assets into regulated banking and use automation to simplify and streamline its processes. Their commitment to improving the user experience and reducing complexity demonstrates how Sygnum is leading the way in the industry. With a Swiss banking licence and a capital markets services (CMS) licence in Singapore, Sygnum must comply with relevant regulations and know-your-customer (KYC) measures. Sygnum approached Zühlke to build a scalable and customisable platform that improves the customer experience, provides a faster turnaround time and ensures data security.

Onboarding platform

An experienced team from Zühlke collaborated with Sygnum in a distributed and agile way to develop the onboarding platform. The previous onboarding process was integrated into a new platform, enabling Sygnum to offer an end-to-end digital solution for clients and employees. The platform incorporates automation, integration, scalability and customisation capabilities, making it adaptable for future requirements. Despite a tight timeframe, the team successfully delivered this ambitious project and is continuously enhancing the platform with additional functionalities.

Improved onboarding platform and vision

The new integrated onboarding platform has significantly reduced the time it takes to onboard new clients, with a process that is ten times faster compared to the previous system. It also enables Sygnum to scale up according to business demand. This achievement is a significant step towards Sygnum's vision of empowering people to invest with confidence in the digital asset economy.
