The existing portal, used by nearly 1 million policyholders via web and mobile app, would be upgraded with expanded functionality, a refreshed design, revamped architecture, and a modernised technical foundation—further extending CSS’s lead over competitors. The new UI/UX concept was transformed into a high-quality, cross-platform application through an agile Scrum process and a DevOps mindset. Constant dialogue with technical and infrastructure departments enabled navigation through the complex domain, allowing for rapid improvements and adjustments. Ongoing testing by representatives from the development and technical departments ensured a stable, premium product. For example, statements are always easy to find, invoices can be submitted digitally, and there is clear information about included benefits. Thanks to a holistic login process, access to the customer portal and other health insurance services is tightly controlled. With the successful launch of the new portal, CSS is further consolidating its position as a digital pioneer in the industry. The mobile app "myCSS," co-developed by Zühlke, deservedly wins the prestigious "Best of Swiss Web Apps" award in November 2024.
